I live in Alabama and have watched Iowa play the past two weeks. There is a song that is played at your home games during time-outs that the whole stadium sings. What is it? It sounds like an 80′s rock maybe 90′s. Starts off really slow.

I apologize for an extremely delayed response. I think you may have been hearing “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey.

It also could have been “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi

I’m a 40-year-old Iowa City resident and loyal KRUI listener for the great variety of music and programming that your station brings to our area. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to catch the Dan Gable interview as I was driving around town. The staff should be commended for its work during that hour. They captured a rare piece of history, and it was largely because they asked appropriate questions and then sat back and let coach Gable have unlimited time to respond and follow his thoughts wherever they happened to lead. I was compelled to listen to the range of subjects, wrestling history and candid opinions that coach Gable covered. I’ve attended Iowa wrestling meets and followed Hawkeye wrestling since the mid 1970′s and have never heard a more insightful, enlightening and enjoyable interview with coach Gable than the one KRUI conducted yesterday. Simply a masterpiece. Well done.

    Hi,
I’m Rohan GUpta from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, India.

We’re part of a course called “reclaiming Frequencies” which deals with a study on campus and community radios.

Would it be possible to help us research on the University of Iowa Radios. In particular the student run campus Radios.
If you could provide us with some information / websites or email addresses of people who we could contact it would be great !

    Thanks,
    Rohan.

    Cheers !
